DescriptionAn Act to make lawful for the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, or Person administering the Government of the Province to subscribe for up to two thousand shares in the Welland Canal Company, as it was deemed of great public utility to the Canadas, as the Canal would admit free passage of vessels from Lakes Erie, St. Clair, Huron and Michigan to Lake Ontario, and the River St. Lawrence.
