Description
Under this Act, it is made lawful for the Governor, Lieutenant Governor or person administering the Government of the Province to advance a sum not exceeding sixteen hundred pounds to the Agricultural Societies for the Districts of Quebec, Montreal, Trois-Rivières, and Gaspe for the encouragement of agricultural improvement in the province. The Act also stipulates that that the Members of the Legislature and the resident Clergy, are to be honorary Members of the District Agricultural Society for the District within which they reside.
