    This Ordinance suspends and replaces certain parts, as described, of the 1839 Ordinance, “An Ordinance for establishing an efficient system of Police in the Cities of Quebec and Montreal.” Certain sections of the 1839 Ordinance, and this Ordinance, are extended to Trois-Rivières. This Ordinance is made permanent.
