DescriptionThis Ordinance amends the 1836 Act, “An Act to provide for the Summary Trial of Small Causes,” and suspends some of its terms except as persons to the Districts of Saint-François and Gaspé, and establishes Courts of Requests to provide for the trial of small causes in the Districts of Montréal, Québec, and Trois-Rivières as outlined. Directions for how these Courts of Requests should operate are given.
