  • Description
    This Ordinance makes provision for the appointment of Assistant Judges for the Districts of Quebec, Montreal, and Trois-Rivières, as deemed necessary. The processes by which this should be done are outlined. This Ordinance also repeals the 1838 Ordinance “An Ordinance to declare and ascertain the period when the Laws and Ordinances made and passed by the Governor or person authorised to execute the Commission of Governor and Special Council of this Province, shall take effect.”
