Description
This Ordinance corrects an error in the first chapter of this Session wherein the wrong Ordinance was referred to in "An Ordinance to amend an Ordinance of the Legislature of this Province, made and passed in the fourth year of Her Majesty’s Reign, intituled, ‘An Ordinance to establish new Territorial Divisions of Lower Canada, and to alter and amend the Judicature, and provide for the better and more efficient administration of Justice throughout this Province.'" The Ordinance that should have been amended was the 1840 Ordinance “An Ordinance to provide for the more easy and expeditious administration of Justice, in civil causes and matters involving small pecuniary value and interest throughout this Province."
