DescriptionThis Act repeals and replaces two ordinances meant to prevent fires as they apply to Montreal. This Act establishes the Fire Society and defines the duties, appointment, and exceptions made for its members and chairman. The processes by which funds to support the fire society are to be raised are also described. This Act is to remain in force until 1834.
