DescriptionThis act refines the rules concerning natural citizenship in Upper Canada to include anybody who has purchased or been granted land in the province, who has sworn an oath to the British Crown, or who has resided in the area for a certain period of time. It conveys onto these individuals all the rights of natural citizenship upon making the oath of affirmation.
