DescriptionThis act repeals an act first passed in 1813 which was intended to provide for militia men who were wounded in service, as well as their widows and children, but which has been found insufficient. It contains clauses which are meant to replace the prior act, widening the definition of who is eligible, and the definition of being wounded during service.
