    This Act restricts fishing in the places described to preserve the salmon fisheries in the Counties of Cornwallis and Northumberland. Under this Act, Indigenous peoples are not permitted to fish for salmon except for their own families’ use. The Act outlines penalties to be applied when its terms are broken. This Act is to remain in force until 1831.
