    An Act to clearly define the duties of the office of Sheriff or Coroner. Under this Act, every Sheriff or Coroner must enter a bond to the Crown, as described. The amounts to be paid by each Sheriff or Coroner are outlined. The processes by which Sheriffs are to be appointed, their responsibilities and accountabilities, and the ways in which they are to make reports are described. Regulations for Sheriffs’ sales are also explained.
