DescriptionThis act creates an elective police force in the town of Prescott. It specifies who can be elected to the police board, when elections will be held, and divides the town into two wards for the purposes of elections.It also describes the procedures to follow should a member of the public make a complaint against a member of the police board. It also permits the board to pass bylaws relating to local matters such as fire prevention, riding or driving on the sidewalk, etc.
