    This Act establishes the body corporate and politic, by the name of “The Quebec Exchange,” who are allowed to build or maintain a building for merchants and others engaged in the pursuits of trade and navigation to meet, bargain, buy and sell goods and commodities, and for the sale and purchase of Bills of Exchange. The proprietors of The Quebec Exchange are listed, as well as instructions for how the exchange should operate, including how shares and votes should be distributed.
