DescriptionThis act provides a pension for Charlotte Overholt, the widow of Abraham Overholt, a soldier killed during the war of 1812. The preamble of the act specifies that he was not killed in action but rather "died under peculiar circumstances" and therefore Mrs. Overhold does not fall under the 1813 act allowing for widows of soldiers to be granted an annuity; this act makes an exception within the law to provide for her.
