  • Description
    This act allows for the raising of no more than seventy seven thousand five hundred and seven pounds, eleven shillings and four pence, by debenture, for the improvement of the navigation of the river Trent. Interest and repayment terms are specified, as well as regulations regarding the issuing and accounting of debentures. The act also allows for the naming of five commissioners who will be enabled to survey the land and determine the best locations for construction of locks and various other structures, and are empowered to negotiate and acquire these locations for the purpose.
