DescriptionAn Act to reorganize several townships from the districts of Montreal and Trois-Rivières into an Inferior District called the Inferior District of Saint Francis, due to an increase in population in the province making the Justice system as established insufficient to meet the needs of these communities. Provisions for the establishment of a Provincial Court in the Inferior District of Saint Francis and this court's functions with reference to the courts in Trois-Rivières and Montreal are outlined. This Act is to expire in 1826.
