DescriptionThis act permits the construction of a mill dam across the river Thames, so long as it includes the construction of locks to permit the passage of vessels. The act also includes a clause forbidding the complete barricade of the river for more than twenty days, under threat of withdrawal of the permit to construct and operate the dam.
