DescriptionAn Act to amend a former act from 1799 “An Act to amend an Act passed in the thirty-sixth year of His present Majesty’s Reign, intituled ‘An Act for making, repairing, and altering the Highways and Bridges within this Province and for other purposes.’” Under this Act, Surveyors of highways, street, lanes end bridges in each of the cities and parishes of Quebec and Montreal is vested in the Governor, Lieutenant-Governor, or person administering the Government of the province. The surveyor's salaries are augmented by this Act by an additional sum not exceeding two hundred pounds.
