DescriptionAn Act to amend a former Act passed in 1805, aspects of which had been found inadequate. The manner that funds for the Trinity House of Quebec were to be collected was amended. The Act makes it lawful for the Trinity House to arrest Branch Pilots condemned by Judgement to fines and penalties. The Act also allows the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, or person administering the Government to distribute pilot licenses to fill vacancies and sets new restrictions on the distribution of pilot licenses. Restrictions on the number of apprentices pilots may have are set. The rights of the Trinity House Corporation are clarified and extended, and penalties for tampering with navigational landmarks, buoys, and the like are set.
