    This Ordinance makes provision for the evaluation and transfer of the property of the lot provided for the construction of a jail in Montreal under the 1805 Act, “An Act to provide for the erecting of a Common Gaol in each of the Districts of Quebec and Montreal respectively, and the means for defraying the expenses thereof.”
