    This Ordinance makes the 1839 Ordinance “An Ordinance for vesting all the Estates and Property in the Province of Lower Canada, occupied for the Ordnance Service, in the Principal Officers of Her Majesty’s Ordnance, and for granting certain powers to the said Principal Officers, and for other purposes therein mentioned,” permanent.
