  • Description
    This Act amends the 1829 Act, “An Act to suspend for a limited time, certain Ordinances therein mentioned, as far as the same relates to the City of Montreal, and to establish a Society therein for preventing accidents by Fire.” This Act amends the procedures by which the Fire Society in the City of Montreal can amend or repeal bye-laws or rules mentioned in the former Act, and certain exemptions for members of the Fire Society are put in place. Certain measures regarding chimney sweepers and the funds received for that service are put in place.
