  • Description
    An Act to allow the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, or Person administering the Government to appoint Commissioners to take cognizance of suits concerning the recovery of small debts within the Parishes, Seigneuries and Townships where they are appointed. The processes by which these suits should be pursued, including how summons can be made are outlined. Restrictions on where court may be held and directions for how expenses should be paid are described. This Act is to remain in force until 1829.
