DescriptionThis act, passed by virtue of an under the authority the 1805 act "An Act to provide for the erecting of a Common Gaol in each of the Districts of Quebec and Montreal, respectively, and the means of defraying the expences thereof" grants a further six thousand five hundred pounds for the construction of the Common Gaol for the District of Quebec. The act gives instructions for how the construction will be approached and how a clerk and treasurer for the gaol are to be appointed.
