An Act to repeal part of, and to alter and amend the Laws now in force for granting Pensions to Persons disabled in the Service and the Widows and Children of Persons who may have been killed in the Service, and to extend the Provision of the same. Passed 22d March, 1816.

    This act repeals an act first passed in 1813 which was intended to provide for militia men who were wounded in service, as well as their widows and children, but which has been found insufficient. It contains clauses which are meant to replace the prior act, widening the definition of who is eligible, and the definition of being wounded during service.
