DescriptionThis act repeals and amends an act first passed in 1824. The amended clauses primarily concern the amount of money the individual in charge of collecting duties on imports from the United States is permitted to retain for himself as a salary, which is changed to five pounds for every hundred pounds to a maximum of three hundred pounds per year.
