  • Description
    This act annexes the towns of Ennismore (now Selwyn), Harvey (Trent Lakes), Douro (now Duoro-Drummer), Belmont (Central Elgin), Burleigh, and Methuen (now Havelock-Belmont-Methuen) into Northumberland county, and the towns of Verulam (Kawartha Lakes), Fenelon (Kawartha Lakes), and Eldon (Kawartha Lakes) into Durham county. The modern towns of Selwyn, Trent Lakes, Duoro-Drummer, Burleigh, Havelock-Belmont-Methuen, and Kawartha Lakes are part of Peterborough county, while Central Elgin is part of Elgin county.
