Description
An amendment to an Act passed in 1819, repealing the second and third clauses of said act, which state that no physician trained by a university in the empire or by His Majesty's naval or military service shall be restrained from practice in the province. Physicians trained elsewhere are to be subject to harsher licensing practices including examination by a provincial board, and penalties should a physician attempt to defraud the governing body into licensing him. It also states specifically that these practices are not to be used to bar women from being midwives.
